‘Barnfield Technology Campus is a fully working college facility with Construction and Engineering Workshops as well as classrooms.

Works were tendered for the installation of gas-fired tube heaters in work shop areas, the installation of new Heat Recovery Air Conditioning Systems and Mechanical Heat Recovery Ventilation systems throughout the campus which also included the decommissioning and removal of existing mechanical services.

Heydon Pierre acted as Principle Contractor on a Design & Build Project worth £801,000 which was carried out over a 14-week programme.

Careful planning was undertaken to facilitate the works being completed around the day to day activity of the student/ staff schedule. Along with this, the College insisted on the constraints of a tight programme and adjustments and flexible working had to be incorporated to enable the works to proceed.

Midway through the programme the College was notified of an impending 'Ofsted' inspection. Although adjustments to working schedules were made, the works were conducted in a safe and secure manner with no impact on the inspection.

Heydon Pierre were extremely pro-active and offered value Engineering Options where possible, which were considered and implemented by the College.

Heydon Pierre conducted the works, in a challenging environment, in an extremely professional and safe manner with minimal impact on the college and the delivery of tuition to the students.
